Make Your Own Leaf Rubbings
You will need:
- Paper
- Crayons or Colored Pencils
- Fresh Leaves
To start with, try to find six different leaves. Make sure they're not too dry. Leaves with odd shapes and attractive designs work the best.
After you've found your leaves, place them upside-down (so the veins face upward) on a flat surface. Put your paper over one leaf at a time and rub the surface of the paper lightly with your crayon. The pattern of the leaf will appear on your paper! See if you can identify each leaf by its shape.
Leaf rubbings are great for designing your own gift wrapping, cards, stationary or just for fun!
