Spend an enjoyable afternoon of traditional English high tea at the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County’s Mayslake Peabody Estate in Oak Brook on Sunday, June 8 from 2 to 4 p.m. 

Guests will enjoy tea service in historic Mayslake Hall while First Folio Shakespeare Festival presents a piece of classic literature. A light meal, the high tea will include several varieties of tea as well as delicate sandwiches and savories, sweets, pastries and cakes. 

Event tickets are $30 per person. A guided “Restoration in Progress” tour of Mayslake Hall will also be available after the tea for a $5 fee. Reservations must be made by noon on June 2. Visa, MasterCard and Discover accepted. For more information or to purchase tickets, call (630) 206-9566. 

Located within Mayslake Forest Preserve in Oak Brook, the main entrance to Mayslake Peabody Estate is at 1717 W. 31st St., one-quarter mile west of Route 83.
